As a designer, you’ll plan and create a wide variety of products, ranging from clothing and packaging to vehicles, media, and even toothbrushes. Your work will all depend on your interests, talents, and specializations. You’ll stay up to date with trends and consider both functional and aesthetic criteria in your designs.

Using design software to create sketches, 3D animations, and prototypes and presenting creative concepts will be part of your daily work as a designer. You’ll typically collaborate with customers to implement their requirements. Your responsibilities also include refining your designs based on feedback from clients or test users.

As a designer, you’ll spend much of your time working at a computer and sketching out your ideas. You can find employment in design offices or in the design departments of large industrial companies.
