As a film director, you’ll be responsible for the artistic design of theater productions, films, television, or radio plays. This includes developing concepts and planning their execution, from the actors to the set design. You’ll lead rehearsals, guide the actors, and collaborate closely with the various departments involved, such as set design and dramaturgy.

Your responsibilities as a film director involve having the final say in all creative decisions, as it's ultimately about bringing your vision to life. Additionally, you’ll need to keep an eye on the budget and often serve as the public face of the production.
