FAQ
Yes, you can repeat the studyamo's Study Choice Test as often as you like.
No, registration is neither necessary nor possible. However, you can have your test result sent to you by e-mail: Your e-mail address will only be used for the one-time dispatch and will not be saved.
The test result is intended to give you an orientation - it shows you fields of study that match your interests well. However, as it is based solely on your answers in the Study Choice Test and does not include any other information about you (e.g. talents or previous knowledge), the Study Choice Test does not provide a recommendation in the sense of “you must study this” and does not guarantee accuracy. The test result should primarily serve as a stimulus to discover new possibilities - including some that you may not even have thought of.
Your test result is saved using cookies. If you do not take the test in your browser's anonymous mode, your result will be saved for 30 days on the device you used to take the test. (Important: If you delete your cookies, the test result will also be lost). If you would like to keep your result for longer, you can have a coded link sent to you by e-mail. This will remain valid for 6 months.
Each of the 30 questions consists of a job or area and two possible answers. Decide which job you are more interested in or which you would prefer to do. It is not important whether you have the necessary knowledge or experience for the activities - both the work areas and the activities are just examples to find out your professional preferences.
In Module 2, each question consists of a list of five study topics. You decide how interested you are in this entire block of topics - you can choose between “yes”, “rather yes”, “rather no” or “no”. Important: You always rate the entire block. If you are similarly interested in all the content - perfect! If one or two topics are less appealing to you, but the others are exciting, think carefully about which overall rating suits you best - you can only select one answer per question.
The studyamo's Study Choice Test is primarily based on Holland's model of career choice and the RIASEC model he developed. In a scientific context, it has been repeatedly established that the RIASEC model is an effective tool for career and study choice. The test result is initially formed on the basis of the first module and refined or adapted by the second module on the basis of personal interests or dislikes for individual subject areas.
The Study Choice Test takes 7-15 minutes - but the exact duration depends on you: If you answer spontaneously, you will probably be quicker. If you take time to think about each question, it may take a little longer. There is no time limit - take the time you need!
Your test result is saved using cookies and can therefore be accessed for 30 days. If you delete your cookies, the result will also be lost - it is not possible to restore it. If you want to save your result for longer, you can have a coded link sent to you by email after the test. Your test result will then remain available for up to 6 months.
