As a sculptor, you’ll create three-dimensional works of art using materials such as stone, wood, metal, clay, or plastics. Your tasks will include designing new monuments, sculptures, and installations, or restoring existing artworks. You can specialize in certain techniques, materials, and styles, or experiment with a variety of forms and media.

In your role as a sculptor, you’ll have two options for the creative process. You can produce original works based on your own artistic vision, which you’ll exhibit in galleries or at trade fairs to attract potential buyers. Alternatively, you can create commissioned pieces according to clients’ specifications.

Potential jobs | Sculptor

As a sculptor, you’ll spend much of your time in studios and workshops, where you’ll sketch, design, and craft your artworks. Additionally, you’ll present your finished pieces in galleries or museums, and participate in exhibitions or art fairs to sell your work. If you’d like to share your expertise, you can also teach at art schools or universities.
