Interior Architect

Designer of livable spaces

Fields of activity | Interior Architect

As an interior architect, you’ll plan and design the interiors of new and existing buildings. These may include rooms in private apartments and houses as well as public spaces, for example, schools, hospitals, shopping centers, and train stations.

Your work as an interior architect will typically follow several key steps: at the beginning, you’ll discuss requirements with your clients and consider aesthetic, functional, and structural aspects. Then you’ll choose the furniture, colors, and lighting. Once you’ve created the sketches and models, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and supervising the individual specialists during the renovation or extension process.
