Studying Media Studies
In media studies, media are researched in all forms and functions: from film and theater to radio and print media. Video games and the internet are also covered in this field of study. For example, you’ll analyze the roles these media play in society or how media phenomena arise and have an impact.
A media studies degree program focuses on the technical, aesthetic, social, and cultural aspects of media. That requires knowledge of subjects such as media theory, history, and systems. There are also overlaps with other subject areas, such as law, ethics, education, and computer science.
