As a historian, you’ll research human history by analyzing written and non-written sources, such as deeds, pictorial documents, historical objects, or conversation recordings. Your tasks will include interpreting and documenting the past, as well as publishing your research findings in books or scientific articles.
The role of a historian encompasses various tasks, particularly in museums and educational work. For example, you may advise on exhibitions and present objects in their historical contexts. You may also organize and lead guided tours and other events for museum visitors, schoolchildren, and adult learners.
