As a biotechnician, you’ll analyze biological processes and apply your findings to technological advancements in fields such as agriculture, the food industry, or medicine. Among other things, you’ll work on producing or improving biomaterials and biotechnological products, such as vaccines, food substances, or petroleum substitutes.
You’ll conduct experiments and tests, for example, to isolate DNA, proteins, and microorganisms – typical part of your work as a biotechnician. Your tasks will also include planning and optimizing biotechnological procedures and production processes. Additionally, you’ll assess the quality of the technological applications you’ve developed and document the results.
