As an air traffic controller, you’ll be responsible for managing air traffic in your assigned airspace or at your airport. This includes coordinating movements on the runways and ensuring that operations runs smoothly. Communicating with pilots will be an important part of your job.

Additionally, taking weather conditions into account will be part of your everyday life as an air traffic controller. In the event of bad weather, you’ll initiate appropriate safety measures. Since access to flight data is essential, you’ll also record all flight movements and other relevant data, such as weather conditions.
