As an accountant, you should enjoy sitting in front of a computer, because that's where you'll do much of your work. You can work directly for companies of any industry and size and work in their finance or accounting department. If you’d like more variety, you can manage a range of clients by seeking employment at a tax consulting firm. As a self-employed accountant, you would also be responsible for multiple companies.
