As a sustainability manager, you’ll be responsible for reducing the ecological footprint of companies and organizations by developing concepts that promote environmental, social, and economic sustainability. In doing so, you’ll always take current laws and standards into account.
Your work as a sustainability manager may also involve raising awareness of sustainability, climate change, and environmental protection among employees through training sessions. Together with staff and management, you’ll implement your proposed strategies and measures, analyze their effectiveness, and suggest improvements. Additionally, you’ll prepare sustainability reports and collaborate with interest groups.
