Fields of activity | Statistician

As a statistician, you’ll collect, analyze, and interpret data by applying a variety of statistical operations. Your responsibilities will include developing and testing procedural principles and models to identify patterns and correlations within the data.

You’ll plan data collection, evaluate surveys and experiments, and present the results clearly in reports and graphs. In some cases, you may formulate a hypothesis in advance and test it. In your role as a statistician, you may also advise various organizations —such as those in the business or healthcare sectors—on how to interpret data to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
