As a plastics technician, you’ll be responsible for processing and manufacturing plastics and plastic products. On the one hand, you’ll develop new plastic materials and processing methods with a focus on recycling and sustainability. On the other hand, you’ll produce items such as hoses, containers, windows, and much more.
Your responsibilities as a plastics technician will include planning, monitoring, and optimizing the production of a wide variety of plastic products. You’ll select suitable materials, machines, and processes, and you’ll create production plans. Additionally, you may inspect the production process, check the quality of finished products, and provide technical advice to customers.
