As a nurse, you’ll provide care to patients and assist with everyday activities, such as washing and eating. Your responsibilities will include administering medications and monitoring patients’ vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rates). Additionally, you’ll tend to wounds and oversee your patients’ recovery after operations, as you’ll be qualified to intervene in emergencies and carry out first aid measures.
Other key aspects of your role as a nurse involve informing your patients about their state of health and planned medical procedures, as well as advising their relatives. You’ll also document all your activities and work closely with other medical staff.
