As a mine surveyor, you’ll be responsible for a range of tasks in mining. You’ll survey terrain and collect geological data to create maps, which will allow you to develop concepts for the development and extraction of raw materials, for example. Ensuring that resources are always used sustainably and efficiently will be important in your line of work.

Your role as a mine surveyor involves contributing to safety in mining. Thanks to your measurements, you’ll be able to warn of unsafe conditions and develop measures to minimize risks. Your measurements will also be relied on during mine construction, for example during blasting.
