Midwife
Companion during and after pregnancy
Fields of activity | Midwife
As a midwife, you’ll be the first point of contact for women with questions about family planning, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum concerns, and the first year of a newborn's life. Typically, you’ll offer counseling sessions and lead courses. Your goal is to prepare women for birth and support them during the early stages of motherhood.
Your responsibilities as a midwife involve monitoring the health of both mother and child. For example, you’ll assist with morning sickness and track the development of the fetus. You may also support the birthing process and immediately examine and measure the newborn.
