As a forest manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the forest. Your work includes regularly pruning existing trees, planting new ones, and monitoring the overall health of the forest. In the event of a pest infestation, you’ll take appropriate control measures, and during harvesting, you’ll operate chainsaws and timber harvesters, among other equipment.

Beyond that, the role of a forest manager involves implementing measures to preserve biodiversity and maintain ecological balance. You’ll also be responsible for managing moors and bodies of water within your area. Additionally, you’ll inform forest visitors about potential hazards and regulations, while ensuring that all paths remain clear of obstacles.
