Fields of activity | Bioengineer

As a bioengineer, you’ll develop and optimize biotechnological processes for the production of food, pharmaceuticals, and other biological products. For example, you might work on improving the fermentation processes of lactic acid in yogurt production. You’ll experiment with various microorganisms to gain a deeper understanding of biological systems and apply this knowledge to technical processes.

In addition, you’ll design biotechnological production facilities and processes, as well as plan and control equipment and workflows. Your responsibilities as a bioengineer will also include developing medical devices and therapies, as well as the producing drugs and medical products.
