Fields of activity | Automotive Technician

As an automotive technician, you’ll develop and design motor vehicles such as cars, trucks, trailers, special vehicles, motorcycles, or rail vehicles. You may specialize in redesigning or optimizing individual vehicle components as well as entire vehicles.

Depending on your area of expertise as an automotive technician, you might design control or drive systems, or plan new parts using 3D modeling and CAD (computer-aided design) software. You’ll also build prototypes and test them, evaluating aspects such as driving dynamics, while taking into account the vehicle’s quality, safety, and efficiency.
