Human resource management as a field of study focuses on people as a resource: from the recruitment, management, and administration of a company's employees to the legal, social, and psychological aspects of human resource management.

However, this field of study primarily focuses on managing and training staff: you’ll learn what to consider when recruiting and hiring new employees and how you can increase motivation and loyalty to the company. You’ll also acquire knowledge about topics such as conflict management and digital technologies.

The field of human resource management often offers different specializations during the studies, for example legal, psychological, or social aspects. Typical degree programs in this field of study include human resource management, HR management and talent management, personnel psychology, labor and personnel law, new work, organizational and personnel development, as well as business management and human resource management.
